Lily Brooks O’Briant + 10 female singers to fall in love with

Here we go to another of my favorite lists. My wife gets jealous when I talk about female artists, especially since I listen to them 90% of my time. My office has paintings of Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish and I’m preparing space for Lorde, Olivia Rodrigo and Holly Humberstone. What can I say? Today, at least, there is no one who makes pop, country or even rock music with better quality than them. As you can see from this list, starting with Lily, who is basically a new Taylor Swift, both in terms of talent, bubblegum songs and, of course, beauty. Well, I think I’ve done too much mansplanning. I’ll leave you with their voices for now.

RC – Hello, Lily, tell us something about you!

LB Hey! I’m Lily Brooks. I am originally from Memphis, TN, then NYC & for the past 4 years I’ve been a California girl. You may have seen me on TV on shows like The Big Show Show, Life by Ella or the Young & the Restless or you may have seen me as Matilda on the Broadway tour of Matilda the Musical. I love acting but have been singing for as long as I can remember. I got my first guitar from Santa when I was 4 years old and wrote my first song when I was 5. (It was about how my mama didn’t let me pick out my own clothes.) After I experienced my first heartbreak at age 16, I threw all of my feelings into songwriting. Pain, anger, sadness, regret, uncertainty, and even new love, hope, and fear are all in my music. I am inspired by so many different genres of music but most of all, I love story-telling. My music is like a window into my heart at the time I wrote the song. I hope you enjoy!
