Folk music: 11 artists that will comfort your broken heart

It really doesn’t matter if you’re a man, a woman, if you like a live rock and roll shows, if you’re just into voice-guitar. The folk genre is about to encompass a universe of tastes and, more than that, give some comfort to all the broken hearts along this complicated earthly journey.
The reason it took me so long to finish this list is because I childishly tend to have a crush on the artists I think I’ve discovered, and sharing them with more people is almost the same as letting go of someone you love and taking a risk of other people loving them more and much better than I do.
Having made this quick introduction, what I can add is that I separated the artists into sections: women, men and bands, thinking about precisely adapting each folk style to a different expectation. More than that, what I can say is that they are all here. Sweet Lucy Morgan, the great Parkland and even the Killbillies – a band that picked up the thread left by Marcus Mumford. Now it’s up to you. Treat these guys well.
