MOLD! + 9 Alternative Rock gems you’ll like to know today

So excited to start this new list of alternative rock band tips with MOLD! – a breath of fresh air in the face of everything that has been done within the genre.

At the core of Miami-based band MOLD! is a border-defying friendship. Although both born and raised in Lima, Peru, guitarist Carlo Barbacci and bassist Bronto Montano didn’t connect until a mutual desire for a more music-involved future brought them to the US within a six month time period.

Rounded out by drummer Frankie Lujan, MOLD! provide an energetic mix of noise and alternative rock, shoegaze and post-punk. The band cites IDLES, A Place to Bury Strangers, Sonic Youth and Oh Sees among their biggest influences. Check this out:
