Annie Anna + 8 names of indie-folk to give you inspiration
Our list today starts straight from Tucson, where we find a legitimate folk singer-songwriter at what the genre has to offer: lyricism and elegance. I’m referring to Annie Anna. Inspired by artists such as Hozier, Matt Maeson, and Shakey Graves, her music features “prominent vocals mixed with dark acoustics and auxiliary percussion“. Although she lists such diverse references, as is the case with Hozier, I must say that her timbre reminds me a lot of Lucinda Williams. Which is great, at least for me.
