The Spitting Pips: “Lowerclass Madness” and what comes out tonight

Here we go talking about an amazing SINGLE released not long ago. A single which, at least for me, is perfectly timed with Oasis‘s (working class heroes as we know it) comeback. Even now that the tour is heading to London, the timing is even more perfect for a new audience to get to know The Spitting Pips, a rock band from Wales, with a wall of sound built by the weight of the guitars and riffs, something we haven’t seen lately with the prevailing minimalism in successful productions.

With eight well-rounded and streamlined tracks, the band’s debut album, “You ain’t seen nothing yet!” released this year, has already demonstrated what these musicians are capable of. They’re destined to dominate the charts and streams around the world. Their rock and roll is steeped in Brit-pop but doesn’t stray from it, exploring classic rock influences, especially the Beatles and the Stones, with psychedelic chords and a psychedelic vibe, as is the case with the opening (and also) best track, “Open Eyes”.

“Lower Class Madness” manages to be much more than just a standalone single from the band. With an intro reminiscent of Oasis’ “Fuckin’ in the Bushes” and a melody reminiscent of Nirvana’s grunge anthems, like “About a girl”, the track epitomizes what we can expect from The Spitting Pips from now on: fun and acidity.
